On June 4, 2025, the City of Kigali Mayor Dusengiyumva Samuel welcomed a delegation from Bloomberg Philanthropies and United Nations Development Program (UNDP-Rwanda), key partners supporting Kigali through the Bloomberg Philanthropies Mayors Challenge.

The meeting focused on the implementation of the Mayors Challenge Project on Kigali’s climate-resilient urban agenda. Key actions include rain water harvest and solid waste management infrastructure in Busanza IDP Model Village and the Mpazi Housing Village.

These efforts contribute to Kigali’s journey towards a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient city.
