On 5^th April 2024, the City of Kigali Mayor Dusengiyumva Samuel received a delegation from Addis Ababa City Administration for a leadership exchange and learning visit. The discussions explored into Rwanda's home-grown solutions (community work, health insurance scheme among others), Kigali's governance and urbanization, infrastructure development and digital solutions.

The Mayor shared Kigali's urbanization journey and lessons learned in areas of infrastructure and green city development as well as city residents' participation in the process.

During their visit, the delegation explored key sites across the city, including: Nyandungu Urban Wetland Eco-tourism Park, Karama Integrated Development Program (IDP) model village, Mpazi rehousing project, Agatare project and car-free zones.
