The City of Kigali launched the ICT Centre in Nduba Sector in partnership with Aston Cities Network
Friday 19 November 2022 -The City of Kigali in partnership with Aston Cities Network with other stakeholders launched ICT Centre at Nduba sector, the project aims to bridge the digital divide among the youth in remote areas of the city.
The project will transform the lives of Youth (women and men) through the acquisition of digital skills, adoption of e-services, driving inclusion and growth. Its aim is to increase the number of digitally literate youth and the use of e-government and e-business services.
In the opening remarks, The Chief Urban Planner Miss Solange Muhirwa who was the guest of honor in that ceremony congratulates youth who joined the ICT Centre on the first cohort.
“ I would like to thank Nduba youths for the willingness and participation they have shown since the very first day we started this ICT centre and we urge you to take advantage of the opportunities you have and you can engage others to join this centre.”
Beneficiaries shared their gratitute to officials for this project, that will equip them with the digital skills to benefit from employment and entrepreneurship opportunities to build an inclusive digital economy and society.
Mukakibibi one of the Beneficiaries at Nduba Sector says, “ I didn't even know how to switch on and off the the computer before I come here”
