The City Mayor meet with 51 newly Cells’ Executive Secretaries
On April 3, 2024, the City of Kigali welcomed 51 new Executive Secretaries with a comprehensive one-day induction program. The City of Kigali Mayor Dusengiyumva Samuel spearheaded the event, emphasizing the importance of aligning with government priorities and upholding the highest ethical standards.
The Mayor’s highlighted the critical role, the Executive Secretaries of the Cells play in listening to and promptly addressing citizen concerns. He underscored the necessity of their active participation in realizing the Kigali Master Plan 2050, particularly in combating illegal construction.
“Your unwavering support is essential for the successful implementation of the Kigali Master Plan 2050. It is imperative to deliver exemplary services to our citizens at the grassroots level,” the Mayor stated.
Recognized globally for its cleanliness, Kigali counts on its Executive Secretaries to maintain this standard of excellence. The Mayor called upon the newly inducted officials to be custodians of cleanliness within their respective jurisdictions.
ACP Teddy Ruyenzi, the Commissioner of Community Policing at the Rwanda National Police requested the Executive Secretaries to forge strong partnerships with security organs and other relevant stakeholders. This collaboration is vital for ensuring public safety and effective crime prevention.
