Let’s make cleanliness our culture-Mayor Mukaruliza
The Mayor of the City of Kigali has called upon the city residents to embrace cleanliness. She made the call during a special community work (Umuganda) organized to by local authorities and Police in Kigali city.
While addressing residents of Kabuga 1 cell in Rusororo Sector in Gasabo district, the Mayor asked the people to keep there neighborhoods clean and avoid any littering.
The Inspector General of Police Emmanuel Gasana highlighted the importance of hygiene and security indicating that they are interrelated. He encouraged the people to work closely with security organs by cooperating with community policing committees and also sharing information to prevent crimes.
The cleaning activity was also attended by 1st Division army commander Maj. General Mubarak Muganga. City Vice Mayors also joined other city residents in Kicukiro and Nyarugenge Districts in the cleaning campaign.
