Kigali Employment Service Centre organizes a breakfast meeting with private sector partners



Within the mandate of linking jobseekers to employers, the City of Kigali through Kigali Employment Service Centre (KESC) is to organize a breakfast meeting on Tuesday April 4, 2016 at City Hall. This breakfast meeting is the event that prepare the upcoming JobNet that will take place at Petit Stade Amahoro on April 27th 2017. Over 45 companies are expected to attend this breakfast meeting. The aim is to update them about services offered by Kigali Employment Service Centre to its target groups such as employers, Job seekers as well as those who wish to venture into self-employment.

Key topics of the meeting are KESC services and achievements, mentorships program with emphasis on the upcoming JobNet not forgetting the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with other companies willing to partner with KESC. Some of the invited companies have partnered with the City of Kigali/KESC through signed MoUs. Companies to attend are Hotels, Insurance companies, Telecommunication companies, banks and Financial Institutions as well manufacturing companies. “All those companies are working hand in hand with us to fight against unemployment in the City of Kigali and the Country in general” Said Mr Pascal Nyamulinda the Mayor of the City of Kigali.

The participants of this breakfast meeting are companies, organizations and institutions that participated in 2016 JobNet event, key companies that were requested to sponsor the 2017 JobNet event and KESC training providers.

Kigali Employment service Centre was established by the City of Kigali to contribute to unemployment reduction by offering information on the labor market, equip job seekers with career guidance, supporting jobseekers with coaching on how best to proceed with the application process and connecting employers to jobseekers especially to facilitate employers by helping them save time and money in their recruitment processes.
