Kigali City held its annual general assembly
Thursday, the 13th of June 2019,the City of Kigali held its annual general assembly which takes place once a year and bring together all leaders from the Village level to the city level, civil society members, private sector, army and police representatives among others.
Speaking at the general assembly, Honorable Minister of Local Government Prof. Shyaka Anastase who was the guest of honor, emphasized on service delivery in different sectors.
“If we say that Rwanda is a country that should be free from any kind of corruption in service delivery, its capital city should be exemplary in all aspects like security, hygiene, wellbeing among others.” He said.
“Though the City of Kigali is winning international award but the journey is still long, do not stop, keep moving because it requires strong solidarity from village level to the city level to be the best in all sector as the Capital City of our country Rwanda”
Mayor of Kigali City Rwakazina Marie Chantal explained how the assembly of the City of Kigali is a platform of discussing the achievements of performance contracts of the fiscal year of 2018/2019 and plans of the coming year.
“In this assembly we discuss on different issues as leaders in order to come up with solutions of developing our city, solutions on service delivery, all in the benefits of our citizens.”
Different presentations were made during the assembly like the one on Kigali Master plan interim, the other on senate elections to come in the September, security and hygiene in Kigali among others.
