Istanbul Delegation visits the City of Kigali

Yesterday a business delegation from Turkey visited City Hall. During their visit they were given a presentation on the Kigali Master Plan and the possible investment opportunities in Kigali city.
The business delegation headed by Hon. Eren Huseyin, the Assistant Secretary Secretary Genera of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality is in Rwanda to explore investment and trade opportunities.
Hon. Eren is in Kigali particularly to hold bilateral discussions with the leadership of the City of Kigali over possible areas of collaboration between Istanbul City and the City of Kigali.
Also during the visit Hon. Eren extended an invitation to HW the Mayor of the City of Kigali Madam Mukaruliza Monique to visit the City of Istanbul.
Covering an area of 5,343 sq km, Istanbu; is home to the largest and leading companies in Turkey that are a bed rock of the city’s US$332.4 billion GDP and GDP per capita of US$ 23,000, one of the highest in the world.
According to Forbes magazine, Istanbul had a total of 37 billionaires in 2013 ranking 5th in the world behind Moscow, New York, Hong Kong and London
