On Wednesday 22rd September, 2022 at Kimisagara Youth Centre in Nyarungenge District, The City of Kigali Mayor Pudence Rubingisa attended the closing ceremony of Active Holidays campaign after two months of keeping children active through different activities.

The purpose of active holidays was to properly supervise children during their long holidays through well programmed, interesting, fun and physical activities that children learnt as the way of protecting them from different types of Violence in their holidays.

The City Mayor congratulates all children who didn’t miss any single day to attend the trainings and also asked them to keep that sprit in their daily life at schools by working hard, being royal, integrity, kindness to prepare themselves to be future leaders and citizens who have the Rwandan values and culture.

During the active holidays campaign, children had their talents nurtured and their horizon broadened with a variety of different activities such as theater, storytelling, illustration, gymnastics, yoga, traditional dancing, singing and play.

To promote  sport in schools and youth centres , The City of Kigali provides sports materials to make sure that all children and youth will keep playing to be healthy.
