BK Arena
BK Arena officially opened in August 2019, being the first 10,000 seater arena in Kigali built to enhance Rwanda’s position as a MICE-destination.

Kigali Golf Club
The most precious gem of Africa, the “Land of Thousand Hills” gave birth to the new challenging and ecologically responsible Kigali Golf Resort and Villas. This design masterpiece is an 18 hole golf course located in the vibrant center of the capital city of Rwanda.
Gahanga Cricket Stadium
Gahanga Cricket Stadium opened in October 2017 and has been dubbed the ‘Lord’s of East Africa.’ The not-for-profit ground consists of an ICC international standard wicket with pavilion and bar, as well as community facilities. It has won and been nominated for several prestigious architecture and engineering awards. The three vaults, designed to mimic the trajectory of a bouncing ball, as well as Rwanda’s rolling hills, were constructed out of 66,000 tiles made primarily from local earth excavated on site.

Biryogo and its famous tea serving
Djumapili Semana a resident at this place since 1979, shared with the NewTimes the history of serving tea at this place.
“Coffee was the most popular drink in this place and is commonly known for being a drink for Muslims living in this neighborhood,” he says, adding that street food was introduced by Muslims as part of their culture. “Back then, they used to cook and would serve anyone who was hungry,” he says, adding that this is also part of the Muslim culture.
Gisimenti Car-Free Zone
The City of Kigali on Friday, February 25, turned the road KG 18 Avenue at Gisimenti, a place for "entertainment zone" on weekends and on special occassions.
It was done to allow bars and restaurants in the area to expand their seating area outdoors for the convenience of their revelers.
Solange Muhirwa, Chief of Urban Planning said that it is all part of an effort to bring a "new entertainment experience" to the Gisimenti area, which is dominated by hangout outlets.
