One stop centres staff hold discussions on better service delivery

 

The City of Kigali in collaboration with Rwanda Land Management and Use Authority hold a consultative meeting with One Stop Centres staff from Gasabo Nyarugenge and Kicukiro district. Their focus was on a better service delivery with a goal of proving simple, fast and reliable services in their daily responsibilities.

 

This consultative meeting was organised in the line of the City of Kigali goal to uplift and sustain the standards and initiatives to improve quick service delivery in the construction sector.

 

Speaking in the meeting, Mr Rubingisa Pudence, the Mayor of the City of Kigali mentioned challenges that still exist which need to be addressed especially in the issuance of construction permits and other issues related to the rapid rate of urbanisation. “Delays must be reduced and we have to think of the citizens we are serving, feel their pain when there are not getting what they want from us on a given time”, he said.

 

He reminded all staff of district one stop centers how they need to be professional and accountable in their responsibilities as they serve different categories of citizens.

 

Director General Rwanda Land Management and Use Authority, Mukamana Esperance appreciated the work of One Stop Centres staff and encouraged to go beyond in maximizing the best service delivery.

 

Some decisions were made during the meeting like to increase the number of staff for fastest service delivery, capacity building for staff in order to go with the rapid technology in their career and serve with humility to citizens who need their services.

 

One participant from Gasabo One Stop Center thanked organisers of the meeting for this opportunity to discuss challenges and solutions to ensure the good service delivery in their jobs.
