Kigali starts public hygiene campaign in schools

Mayor Ndayisaba Fidele addressing students at EPA Primary and Secondary school

On friday the Mayor of the City of Kigali Ndayisaba Fidele launched a three month public hygiene campaign in schools.

Addressing the students of EPA primary and Secondary schools, the Mayor called upon the students to refrains from throwing garbage every where except garbage bins, stop throwing garbage in trenches and road drainages and also to enciurage their parents to seperate bio- degradable from non bio-degradable waste in home.

The campaign is planed to run in all schools in Kigali for the next three months and the mayor requested school heads to dedicate every monday and friday morning to remind the students about hygiene.
