
Mayor addressing residents of Kimisagara sector
Activities of the Good Governance month are on going in the City of Kigali. This week the Mayor of the City of Kigali Ndayisaba Fidele visited the residents of Kimisagara and Kigarama sector in Nyarugenge and Kicukiro districts respectively.
In Kimisagara Sector the Mayor got time to discuss with the residents. He took the residents through the history of Rwanda and emphasized the the reasons why the RPF launched a liberation struggle. He indicated that good governance was the core of the liberation struggle.
"We are gathered today to fulfil on of the core values of our government," The Mayor said. He stressed that Rwanda has made significant strides in good governance where the leadership had come closer to the people and the people’s role in their governance is at unprecedented levels in the history of the country.

Residents who attended the meeting in Kimisagara Sector
The Mayor called upon the residents of Kimisagara to desist from throwing garbage in the drainage system and water channels because it has led to the blockage of these channel and severe flooding in some parts of the City.
In Kigarama sector the Mayor asked local leaders to seize from closing shops and markets in order to mobilise the residents to attend the Mayor’s meeting. "As leaders we should support bisiness, let’s not close these shops, let’s find a way to conducts such public meeting with these businesses working," said the Mayor. This visible excited the traders who attended the meeting.

The Mayor promised the residents of Kagarama that the City of Kigali is going to construct a road linking Kicukiro to Nyarugenge District. this road will go through Kigarama sector.
